-
- DISTRIBUTION:
- =============
-
- You may make this file available for downloading from your BBS or you may
- upload it to any BBS of your choice, provided that you do not make any
- changes to the contents of the archive (ZIP file).
-
-
- PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
- ====================
-
- TriDoors is designed to track the usage of up to 80 door programs, and
- generate both ANSI and MONO bulletins, which contain the names of the
- door programs to be tracked, and the number each has been used. The
- sysop selects which doors he/she wants to track.
-
-
- NOTE:
- =====
-
- The TRIDOORS.KEY file distributed with this program does NOT expire!
- This is simply here so the door has a KEY to read. When you register,
- you will receive a new TRIDOORS.KEY file, which will remove the
- UNREGISTERED notice from the bulletins, and display the name of your
- BBS, etc.
-
-
- FEATURES:
- =========
- --- Easy to set up.
- --- BETA tested on a TriBBS BBS.
- --- Support BBS available.
- --- Generates ANSI and ASCII bulletins.
- --- One time registration fee good for any future version.
-
-
- INSTALLATION:
- =============
-
- 1. Place four files, (TRIDOORS.CFG, DOORS.CFG, TRIDOORS.EXE, and
- TRIDOORS.KEY), in your main TriBBS directory. (Example: C:\TRIBBS)
-
- 2. Using a text editor, edit the TRIDOORS.CFG file to include the required
- information as shown in the example below.
-
- The File Cabinet BBS <-- The name of your BBS.
- Bob Harmon <-- Sysop's FIRST and LAST name.
- C:\TRIBBS\DISPLAY\BULLET10.BBS <-- Path to your ASCII bulletin.
- C:\TRIBBS\DISPLAY\BULLET10.ANS <-- Path to your ANSI bulletin.
-
- The path to your ASCII and ANSI bulletins MUST include
- the filename of both your ASCII and ANSI bulletins.
-
- 3. Using a text editor, edit the DOORS.CFG file to include the required
- information as shown in the example below. Be sure to READ the notes
- after the DOORS.CFG example.
-
- TriMail (QWK Mail) <-- Name of Door Program.
- SendNote <-- Name of Door Program.
- TriBank <-- Name of Door Program.
- Online! Magazine <-- Name of Door Program.
- International Online <-- Name of Door Program.
- Prize Vault <-- Name of Door Program.
- Lotto <-- Name of Door Program.
- Casino Poker <-- Name of Door Program.
- ProWords <-- Name of Door Program.
- Pyramid <-- Name of Door Program.
- Scramble <-- Name of Door Program.
- Money Market <-- Name of Door Program.
- Dollarmania! <-- Name of Door Program.
- Lasso! <-- Name of Door Program.
- Studs! <-- Name of Door Program.
-
- Note: This DOORS.CFG file is setup to track only 15 door programs.
- However, TriDoors can track up to 80 door programs.
-
- Additional notes on the completion of the DOORS.CFG file:
-
- A) The door program names entered on each line of the DOORS.CFG file
- MUST MATCH EXACTLY the names of the door programs as you have them
- entered in your DOORS.MNU file. The DOORS.MNU file is located in
- the \TRIBBS\NWORK directory of your TriBBS BBS.
-
- B) Your DOORS.CFG file should include the names of only those door
- programs you want to track. You might have 30 door programs on
- your BBS, but you might want to track the usage of only 25 of
- them. If this were the case, you would only enter the names of
- the 25 door programs you want to be tracked by TriDoors.
-
- C) As far as TriDoors and the DOORS.CFG file is concerned, door
- program names should NOT exceed 24 characters in length. This
- includes spaces, etc. as well.
-
- 4. TriDoors is executed with the following command.....
-
- TRIDOORS C:\TRIBBS\MWORK\CALLERS.LOG
-
- Note: The complete path and filename to the CALLERS.LOG file MUST
- be included in the command.
-
- TriDoors can be executed from the TriBBS BETWEEN.BAT file, which
- will result in TriDoors generating updated bulletins between each
- call. Therefore, using a text editor, edit the BETWEEN.BAT file
- located in your main TriBBS directory, and add the required
- information as shown in the example below.
-
- TRIDOORS C:\TRIBBS\MWORK\CALLERS.LOG
-
- Note: For additional information on the use of the BETWEEN.BAT
- file, please refer to your TriBBS manual.
-
- TriDoors can also be executed by using the "event" feature of TriBBS.
- This would be handy if you did not want the bulletins generated by
- TriDoors to be updated between each call to your BBS.
-
- Note: For additional information on the use of the "event" features
- please refer to your TriBBS manual.
-
-
- MAINTENANCE:
- ============
-
- After the initial setup, no known maintenance is required. Of course,
- as you add and remove door programs you want to be tracked by TriDoors,
- you will need to edit your DOORS.CFG file accordingly.
-
- Also, TriDoors analyzes the CALLERS.LOG file, and should continue to do
- so, until you delete, rename, etc. the CALLERS.LOG file. You could do
- this on the first of each month, and TriDoors will track door usage from
- month to month.
-
